:: Where my soldierzzizzat?
Hey just wanna inform ya'll that i have officially become a
P.Diddy biter. Actually I did this track as a promo entitled "
Victory As One" for ya'll to check out. It uses the instrumental "
Victory" by
Biggie and
Puffy from the album "
No Way Out". This is my own rendition wit the same rhyme structure as Puff Daddy's verse. This is done on purpose without the intention of biting but literally using the original song structure as well as the instrumental. This has been done before. Refer to
Eminem's "
Hail Mary 2003" and you'll know what I mean. I did perform this song as an intro on the Platform finals. Dunno if people realize that or not, coz they might not be payin attention. But I kinda screwed up on a few bars. So here's the track for those who wanna know what I was babblin' about. You can stream or download the mp3 on As One's soundclick page at

Helo. Yesterday was the grand finals for Platform 4. I guess it was quite an upset. Too Phat didn't turn up. Sua kana main ah gua. I was expecting to catch them perform Alhamdulliah II (malay version) wit Ahli Fiqir. That song just blew me away for some reason. But we got our very own Triple Noize to substitute them. They were good but the crowd jes wasn't lively enuff plus the sound was a bit wack. And they kind of lost much of thier fanbase i guess. Dunnolah.
X'Statix was a part of the guest performers. At first I was kinda hyped up about this gig coz i thought it was gonna be a really big event. But for some reason the day didn't turn up like how i pictured it. I was kinda unfocused eversince i went out the house. My mind remains unfocused even while rappin, to the point i forgot a few bars and that really sucked. Our performance was again as usual mendak and sucky. I bet it makes people wonder how the hell did Ecstatics won a rap competition? Every single gig after Hiphopfest we would be annouced as champion of rap battle bla bla bla. PLEASE LAH ENUFF ALREADY. I personally feel I suck at performin. I never had the ability to rock a crowd. I just recite rhymes. I wish I had that ability to interact and make people respond. Entahlah
Anyways i jes figured out why I was unfocused the whole day....It must have been the "Nick Berg Decapitation" video. That video where "islamic militants" cuts the head of an american named Nick Berg. For those who have no idea about this video go search the web about it or search kazaa for the video for those who have the stomach to watch it. I watched it a few days ago and i wasn't really terrified but it left my head spinning for some reason. And today before goin to platform, I showed the video to Yus and Fai. After that, I had the same headache "after effect". So did Yus. Fai watched it from far so i guess he didn't really see the gore of the video. So after watching the video, it left us wit a particular feelin which makes you uneasy and unfocused mixed wit the headache "after effect". I'm still feelin dizzy till now. But then again, I did feel that it looked faked and staged. Like it was all a setup. Here's some websites that analyzez the discrepencies of the video to prove that it's a hoax by the American government: http://www.topplerummy.org/berg/ and http://aztlan.net/berg_abu_ghraib_video.htm
Ok enuff talk bout the video. Back to platform...
Switch opened for the show and did his thang. Got a free CD from him. His single "No More Mr. Nice Guy" which was actually recorded at my place and i already have the track. But I like to collect CDs, so i got one from him. Freaky Z did a great job at hosting. Funny and entertaining as usual. Bless performance blew me away. He's damn good. Public Eyez was cool. X-statix was mendak. DJ showcase was interesting. As for the Platform finalists, I think all of them did a great job...Corrupt Ethic was nice...feelin the "indonesian"-like beat...The lil girl in G-Feminiz was the only one that impressed me in the group...Ninja Muscle was really entertaining and he did deserved to win. ..Nthrall who got second place was super ill. There's somethin bout his flow...he didn't even need to ask the crowd to get hyped up and they were all hollering at him on his chorus. That's really sumthin man. Psychalektiks was good too...Down to earth song about God...Great Job. Yadin was as usual dope but i guess it just wasn't his day. After the competiton was Trilogy and Breakforze Crew followed by Public Eyez and finally Triple Noize wit Freaky Z and Switch to end the show. Overall the show wasn't as successful as I expected but to me the rap competiton itself was the main highlight of the show.
So that was Platform 4. What's next? I think there'll be a Beats Society's Flag Day or sumthin. Don't think I'll be performin anymore anytime soon since I have to go N.S. plus I suck at performin too. I do not have wat it takes to be a "rap star". Only a chosen few has that. But I'll still continue to do wat i can while I can. I'll still perform where there is a chance to. I'll still make tracks that no one listens. Ok lor, that's it for today. Happy wanking.

Beats Society is an information, promotions and networking organization that offers information on all things Hiphop in and around Singapore, promoting selected few Hiphop artistes from all 4 Elements, and act as your Resource Center.
Ok so Imran's 'The Beats Society' makeshift blog is now up and running. URL is http://beats-society.blogspot.com or just click on the above banner.
As One Compilation was released about a year ago and eversince most of the groups in have gone silent, missing and mendak. Only limited copies were released and to those who have a copy of it whether you bought it or got it free or stole it, I hope you liked it and thanks for all the support. For those dissapointed and feel that it was wack according to your "professional" standards because of the wack emcees (especially me), wack songs (the ones produced by me), wack contents (same ol raw rap shit), wack sound quality (lo-fi sound which i personally prefer as aesthetically it contributes to a more raw hip hop feel), wack cover (designed by me) and wack watever, then i'm sorry as there'll be no refund. You can either dump that wack shit in the garbage or put it to better use like using the CD as a deadly ninja star to throw at others. For those still interested in getting the limited edition CD you may still find it at Fashion Jooze outlets. If you are cheap skates who don't buy CDs for it's collectibility sake then maybe you would like to download it for FREE at http://www.soundclick.com/asonecompilation . All this is IF you are interested and support local releases which i doubt most of you even care to. But much love to those who gave thier support.
I'm lookin forward to working on more projects any time soon as we have really been stagnating (Can't help it, we malays are lazy). Maybe an X-Statix EP or sumthin'. Yeah hopefully. Anybody up for any collabos or anythin jes hit me back. Ok so that's it for now. Peace outside and inside.

:: BACK IN BUSINESS YA'LL
What has been the dilly? It's been a long time since I entered this wack blog. Last entry was October last year about some wack project which never happened due to lack of response...Now is June and I have finally graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic Diploma in Digital Media Design. You can check out my wack
online portfolio at
http://www.defaultbydesign.com/ . With this diploma I still have no idea wat i wanna be when I grow up (wait a minute..I am growned-up) ...coz i still suck at design and multimedia stuff. Furthermore I'm goin to N.S. thus by the time I finish serving, watever that I've learned will become obsolete...
So now what? I can't possibly have a carreer in Hip Hop, can I? Most of us here perform for free. I guess it's about time we "Rap For Food" like the
Cunninglynguist. But the truth is Hip Hop here is but a hopeless pursuit and an empty dream...I guess that's why some of the people I know who loved this shit are starting to drift away from all this...coz it doesn't seem to lead to anythin' that could contribute to their future life. Now we see lots of new faces and new blood replenishing. Most of them "older" cats probably just grew up and grew tired of it. I dunno. But I do realize that "doing" Hip Hop here is leading nowhere...but I'm still lovin' it tho and in some ways "pursuein'" it while tryin to contribute to the scene. While the passion is still here for me, I'll do watever I can to elevate myself thru Hip Hop. Take a listen to the track entitled
"Dream" by Cyphanauts (Azrael+Lene+Pure Phraze) thru the mp3.playa on the left. It's a song about hopes and aspirations.
Anyways, I've updated this site slightly...since most of the pics used for my header and side navi previously doesn't seem to appear anymore, i decided to jes remove them. There's a pic of me wearing an anti-design t-shirt and my backpack (nerdcore backpack rap coalition represent), which revolves according to mouse movements. Below it there's an
mp3.playa for those of you who would like to take a listen to some of the tracks I've produced and recorded. Some are old tracks while some are yet to be released. (It might take a while to stream the tracks for those with low bandwidth) Here's the current track listing:
//01. X-Statix - 5th Element : Latest track from X-Statix which is proposed to appear in the upcoming SGHIPHOP compilation.
//02. Decepticons - Justin Credible : A track by Azrael and Jay-One from the As One Compilation
//03. Cyphanauts - Dream : First song recorded with my other rap coalition, Cyphanauts.
//04. Decepticons - Fellowship Of The Mic : An unreleased track from Decepticons
//05. X-Statix - X-Techticron (Feat. MC Shan) : A collaborative effort from X-Statix and MC Shan
//06. Azrael & Lene - Illamental : A track by Azrael and Lene from the As One Compilation.
//07. Decepticons - Emerge Horizon : One of my personal favourite tracks I produced in the As One Compilation
//08. As One Fam - Illest Mic Therapist : A demo track featuring 6 emcees rippin the mic over a jacked beat.
Enjoy these free previews but it's bound to get irritating after a few visits, so jez press the stop button ok? If anyone interested in beats or need to record a demo feel free to holla back at me. Email is
izaril@hotmail.com . Oh ya...it's survey time so do vote your answer at the voting system on the left navigation panel.
So that's about it for now. That was quite long. Damn I actually blogged! I used to put up some corny ass pics and comment them...but for todae I actually updated this bugger and actually blogged. What the fuck is happening?
